London, UK:

daappa, a Private Asset Fintech specialist, delivering a comprehensive, integrated and automated platform, continues to strengthen its position in the Private Assets (PA) market by appointing Karim Ali as CEO of daappa. The appointment comes as daappa’s owner, Bertil Rouveure, continues the build out of the BRD Group software companies (incorporating daappa, Nadi Solutions and STREETS) to create an integrated, multi-specialist software solution providing a unique service offering to the market. Karim joined daappa as COO in March 2020 and has focused on expanding the London Architecture team and daappa’s product portfolio. The solution suite now includes four new web-based products underpinned with modern technology, which has enabled the digital transformation of daappa’s powerful Core module to deliver and integrated and complete online solution. During his 20+ years career, Karim has made significant contributions to the development of the asset management industry. He co-founded technology company, CYMBA Technologies, a leading provider of front office financial technology solutions, which was acquired in 2016, and has held multiple leadership positions and holds non-executive positions at Fintech starts-up and charitable foundations.

Karim Ali, CEO of daappa, said:

“Having joined daappa as COO, I’m delighted that my experience has helped our phenomenal progress and evolution throughout 2020 and into 2021. Transitioning into the role of CEO, I look forward to further progressing our roadmap, strengthen our client base and partnerships, and supply our market with innovative software solutions. As Alan directs the co-ordination of BRD Group and our sister companies, I am excited to be part of the upcoming changes as they develop.” daappa’s previous CEO, Alan Naughton, moves to become BRD Group’s Strategy Director and remains on the daappa board. Alan will be working closely with Bertil to build a competitive and innovative BRD Group software solution, which will deliver an innovative and unique end-to-end platform to service all PA sectors.

Alan Naughton, Strategy Director of BRD Group said:

“Since joining daappa last year, Karim has refreshed our business growth and technology strategy, and led the great progress in reaching our product roadmap milestones. As we continue to evolve the new business model as a group, Karim’s extensive knowledge of operational model redesign, large scale infrastructures and client implementations will underpin Framework’s long term goals.”

Bertil Rouveure, Chairman of BRD Group and daappa, said:

“Fortifying daappa’s leadership team with Karim’s expertise has brought a significant leap in our product development and further strengthened our internal operations, and I look forward to him leading our continued growth over the coming years as CEO.” Media Contact: Kristina Campbell daappa Limited Email: kristina.campbell@daappa.com Tel: +44 (0)20 7 510 9597
