A key driver in our transformation to daappa was a desire to be a sustainable, environmentally and socially responsible company. We found the CSR Accreditation to be an effective way to benchmark what we were already doing and provide a roadmap for how we could be better.
The CSR application process involved us reporting against the Social Responsibility ‘Four Pillars’ of environment, workplace, community and philanthropy.
Each Social Responsibility Pillar is designed to help firms report on areas such as energy performance, recycling, staff engagement, health and well-being, community engagement and support for local and national charities.
Lowering our office and individual carbon footprints
Creating a positive and healthy work environment
Supporting our employees’ voluntary work
Setting the example as a business and giving back
Whilst as a company, daappa was recycling and based in an energy saving environment, we all realised that there was plenty of scope for improvement. So much in the same way as runners like to train for a particular race, in 2021, we decided to embark upon a journey to obtain the Corporate Social Responsibility Accreditation (CSR-A).
Learn about our journey in this blog post.
The journey is not over!
We are on a journey of continuous improvement and our initial efforts has seen daappa nominated and win additional awards including The Green Organisation’s International CSR Excellence Award
